Kayacam Marine-Grade Camera Mount

Boaters and paddlers can now confidently take “Kiss Your Katch” photos even while angling alone, as Kayalu’s new portable marine-grade camera mount can be secured to the deck of a boat, kayak or similarly unstable surface.

Capable of supporting a compact camera or mini-video recorder on its mast, the Kayacam clips to an eyelet, deck loop or pad eye, eliminating the need for permanent brackets or other alterations to the watercraft. Kayacam’s ball-and-socket head provides the camera with an extensive range of motion and offers a quick-locking handle to maintain camera position.

Kayacam’s technology features a tension-based attachment system, with a flexible cable passing through the camera mount’s mast that is clipped to the boat or kayak, pulled taut and cinched on a jam cleat on the mast.

The camera mount overcomes problems that typically face suction-cup and pole-based mounting systems, with a foam base that adapts to contours and imperfections on the deck, cushions the camera from impacts and protects the boat or kayak from being scratched or marred.

Kayacam’s list price is $49.95. For more information, visit www.kayalu.com.
